Alejandro Alfaro biography

Alejandro Alfaro Ligero (born 23 November 1986 in La Palma del Condado, Province of Huelva) is a Spain Association football who plays for RCD Mallorca in La Liga.

Mainly a Midfielder Winger, Alejandro Alfaro can also operate as a Forward (association football) Second striker.

Club career

A product of Sevilla FC's youth system, Alfaro was one of Sevilla Atlético's (the B-side) most important players from 2005, helping it achieve promotion to the Segunda División in the 2006–07 Segunda División B. Alejandro Alfaro had previously made Alejandro Alfaro first team debut, on 30 April 2006, playing 10 minutes in a 2–1 away win against Real Sociedad.

On 28 January 2007, Alfaro netted Alejandro Alfaro first La Liga goal, as a starter in a 4–2 win at Levante UD, also appearing in four UEFA Europa League contests in the side's 2006–07 UEFA Cup. However, Alejandro Alfaro was nothing more than a fringe player with the main side in Alejandro Alfaro first three seasons, barred mainly by Jesús Navas (he did score seven goals in 34 matches to help the B-team 2007–08 Segunda División), and would leave the Andalusia side for 2008–09, joining CD Tenerife on loan; during this stint, Alejandro Alfaro was instrumental as the Canary Islands outfit 2008–09 Segunda División after a seven year-absence, scoring a career-best 20 goals, fourth-best in the competition.

After Alejandro Alfaro completed the 2009 preseason with Sevilla, Alfaro was again loaned for a season to Tenerife. Like Forward (association football) Nino (footballer), Alejandro Alfaro was again the most important offensive unit of the team, which was 2009–10 La Liga, with the player contributing with seven goals.

Returned to Sevilla for 2010–11 La Liga, Alfaro benefitted from Navas' absence due to injury and featured in some games early into the season, scoring in a 2–1 win at Málaga CF, on 19 September 2010. On 4 November, Alejandro Alfaro netted twice against FC Karpaty Lviv (4–0 home win), for 2010–11 UEFA Europa League's Europa League; the following week, Alejandro Alfaro also found the net in two home fixtures, against Valencia CF (2–0, appearing as a second-half Substitute (association football)) and Real Unión (6–1, in 2010–11 Copa del Rey's Copa del Rey).

On 8 August 2011, RCD Mallorca agreed a deal with Sevilla to buy Alfaro, for Euro700,000. Alejandro Alfaro started in Alejandro Alfaro first official game, a 1–0 home win against RCD Espanyol.
