Fernando Navarro i Corbacho (; born 25 June 1982 in Barcelona, Catalonia) is a Spain Association football who plays for Sevilla FC as a Defender (association football) Full back.

Club career

Having come through the ranks of giants FC Barcelona, Navarro was on the verge
of replacing longtime leftback Sergi Barjuán, who had left for Atlético Madrid in 2002, until a serious knee injury finished off Fernando Navarro Corbacho chances with hometown club. On 3 November 2002, Fernando Navarro Corbacho scored Fernando Navarro Corbacho only goal for Barça, in a 1–1 draw at Racing de Santander.

After an uneventul six-month loan at Albacete Balompié in 2004, also in La Liga, Navarro was loaned again, this time to RCD Mallorca (still in the top flight) for the 2005–06 La Liga. After a successful campaign, the Balearic Islands side decided to purchase Fernando Navarro Corbacho on a permanent deal, and Fernando Navarro Corbacho was an undisputed first-choice from 2006–08.

On 18 June 2008, Navarro was bought by Sevilla FC for a reported Euro5 million. Fernando Navarro Corbacho was an automatic first-choice in Fernando Navarro Corbacho first two seasons combined, as the Andalusians ranked respectively 2008–09 La Liga and 2009–10 La Liga, but did collect 26 Penalty card Yellow card combined.

In the following seasons, without no real competitor in Fernando Navarro Corbacho position, Navarro continued to be an undisputed starter for Sevilla. On 26 October 2011, Fernando Navarro Corbacho renewed Fernando Navarro Corbacho contract, due to expire in June 2013, for a further three years. Late into the previous month, Fernando Navarro Corbacho was involved in an incident in a home fixture against Valencia CF (1–0 home win): after opponent Aritz Aduriz stepped on Emir Spahić in the 70th minute, the latter's reaction was apparently exaggerated, but Navarro vehemently asked for a Ejection (sports) to Aduriz, which was conceded by the Referee (association football).

International career

Spain national football team coach Luis Aragonés called Navarro for a Exhibition game against France national football team on 6 February 2008. However, Fernando Navarro Corbacho did not enter the pitch, going on to make Fernando Navarro Corbacho international debut against United States men's national soccer team on June 4, in a 1–0 friendly win.

Selected for UEFA Euro 2008, Navarro appeared against Greece national football team in the group stage (2–1 win), as Spain emerged victorious in the tournament. Previously, Fernando Navarro Corbacho played at the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship in New Zealand.
